Chaumont is a small village located on Chaumont Bay and the Chaumont River. The population of the village in 2010 was 624. In the early years Chaumont’s economy was driven by fishing and ship building. Fishing remains a huge draw with fishermen loving the calmer waters of the Bay. Chaumont is also home to the Crescent Yacht Club. It is not uncommon to see several sailboats out on the bay.

If Golf is more your speed check out the Bay Breeze Golf Links and tennis players can go to Crescent Courts. If you want to go for a peaceful hike, check out Chaumont Barrens a 2 mile hiking trail where you will find one of the finest examples of alvar grasslands in the world.
