This small town began to be settled in January of 1800 when James LeRay purchased 220,000 acres and subdivided the land to promote development. The small town atmosphere remains.If you are hungry try the wings at the Sportspage Bar and Grill or go to Miss Laura’s Diner for some home town cooking. Theresa also has municipal power so you get your power locally rather than through National Grid. The rates for this power are very good. Some people choose to live in Theresa because of the low cost electric. Theresa is part of the Indian River School District with Theresa Primary located in the Village on Bridge Street. The commute to Fort Drum, Watertown and Clayton is an easy one from Theresa.
